Overview
The Supervising Social Worker builds positive relationships between FSG, the foster parent and the child’s social worker. It is a key role that helps the foster parent to sustain the child in placement and ensure outcomes for children are being met within the foster family.
You will work closely with key internal and external stakeholders, to enable foster parents to be informed, accept, understand and operate within the regulations and national minimum standards and in accordance with Caretech Group policies and guidance.

Working full time, you will be home based with occasional meetings in the FSG Regional Office in Shortland.
Responsibilities- Maintain positive relationships between foster carers, children and social workers to support placement stability and desired outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure foster parents understand and operate within regulations, national minimum standards, and Caretech Group policies.
- Advocate for and with children and families to achieve best interests and safeguarding outcomes.
- Social Worker with experience of OFSTED regulations
- Multidisciplinary and multi-agency working experience
- Be a strong team player, with excellent communication skills
- Have excellent communication, organisational and time management skills
- Participation on an out of hours rota (every 4 weeks)
