About the RoleWe are looking for a dedicated Social Worker to join our Adults Social Care team at Birmingham City Council. This role focuses on providing urgent advice, support, and care to vulnerable adults outside normal office hours, helping to prevent deterioration and promote independence. You will work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality services and safeguard the wellbeing of citizens.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to urgent requests and arrange emergency services as needed.
- Conduct conversations and develop support/enablement plans tailored to individual needs.
- Work closely with citizens, carers, and partner agencies to improve service standards.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements, policies, and safeguarding procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to continual service improvement.
- Qualified Social Work England registration.
- Experience delivering social work services to vulnerable adults.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Knowledge of key legislation guiding social work and social care.
- Commitment to equality, diversity, and continual professional development.
- Enhanced DBS check required.
- Must be able to work a shift pattern across 7 nights.
