Help Make Inclusion for All a RealityMe2 Club helps over 100 children and young people with additional needs or disabilities take part in mainstream leisure activities every year. By matching each child with a dedicated and trained volunteer, we break down barriers to inclusion, reduce social isolation, and help young people grow in confidence and independence and joy.
We are now looking for a
Senior Activities and Volunteers Coordinator
to lead our dedicated team and ensure our core services continue to make a life‑changing impact.
You’re passionate about inclusion and committed to ensuring every child can take part in the activities they love. You build trust quickly with children, parents, and carers, and you bring hands‑on experience supporting children with additional needs or disabilities. You know how to boost confidence, nurture independence, and reduce isolation.
Ideally, you’ve managed staff and volunteers before and feel confident delivering training, presentations, and guidance to a range of audiences.
What You’ll DoThis is a key leadership role at Me2 Club. You will:
- Lead, supervise, and support a team of Activities and Volunteers Coordinators
- Oversee volunteer recruitment, training, and ongoing support
- Manage a caseload of children and families, ensuring high‑quality, person‑centred support
- Coordinate service delivery, including referrals, matching, waiting lists, and safeguarding
- Monitor and evaluate impact, contributing to organisational development
- Build strong relationships with partners, activity providers, and the wider community
- Play an active role in the Senior Management Team, contributing to strategic planning
This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days look the same. You’ll be supporting staff, families, volunteers, and partners — all while helping shape the future of our services.
About YouYou bring:
- Experience leading and managing teams
- Experience supporting children with additional needs (behavioural, emotional, or medical)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Confidence in safeguarding and risk assessment
- The ability to motivate, inspire, and guide staff and volunteers
- A creative, resilient, and solution‑focused approach
A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential due to travel across Reading and Wokingham.
