Neighbourhood Support Officer
Grade B - £28,598 - £34,434. Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review. Permanent. Working 36.5 hours per week. This is an exciting opportunity to work for City Housing, in the role of a Neighbourhood Support Officer. We are seeking an enthusiastic person with good interpersonal skills and abilities that meet our person specification to the job role.
Responsibilities- Manage all aspects of housing including allocations, move on's, repairs, and delivery of individual support & wellbeing to maintain a tenancy for sheltered housing tenants.
- Conduct face to face visits in tenants' homes to improve the health and wellbeing of tenants, aiming to support older people and those with disabilities to achieve their goals, be resilient, and lead happy and healthy lives in a sheltered environment.
- Address tenancy conditions, anti-social behaviour, debt advice, and benefit advice; liaise with multiple agencies (internal and external) for the benefit of the tenant and the City.
- Aim for tenants to live independently with support from multiple agencies as required.
- Demonstrate awareness of building management and Health & Safety as part of the role and work jointly with others to ensure these are met.
- This is an agile City-wide role; you may work on multiple areas at various sheltered housing schemes. It is desirable to have a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
- Enthusiastic person with good interpersonal skills and abilities aligned to the person specification.
- Ability to work across multiple areas and collaborate with internal and external partners.
- Awareness of housing management, tenancy support, and safeguarding considerations.
