Job Summary
The Parent Family & Community Engagement (PFCE) Coordinator leads, plans, monitors, and coordinates activities for the PFCE area. Ensures program integrity, compliance, and ongoing monitoring of federal and state regulations, as well as program policies and procedures. This role involves overseeing and executing initiatives for parent engagement.
This is not a hybrid or remote position. The Parent Family Community Engagement Coordinator will primarily work in an office setting and in the field, requiring driving/travel to attend meetings and perform community outreach.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized college or university in Social Science, Human Services, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Family Development Credential (FDC) preferred or must be obtained within one (1) year of hire.
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience as a social worker or staff in a Head Start program or social service agency.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
- Bilingual English Spanish.
- Demonstrated computer proficiency, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data management systems.
- Ability to professionally represent MAOF at all times with staff, families, community partners, and external agencies.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
- Self‑motivated, proactive, and effective in problem‑solving and decision‑making.
- Positive, professional attitude with strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
- Must complete AB 1207 California Childcare Providers:
Mandated Reporter Training within 90 days of hire, renewed every two (2) years. - Must submit to a pre‑employment physical examination, drug screening and Tuberculosis (TB) clearance.
- Must provide vaccination records for Pertussis (Tdap), Measles (MMR) and Influenza (optional).
- Will be fingerprinted and must clear through DOJ and FBI.
- Must possess own vehicle, valid California’s License and at minimum, general liability automobile insurance.
- Hold a valid First Aid and CPR certificate.
