Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

An opportunity has arisen for a qualified Social Worker to join Adult Social CarePoint. This is a friendly and supportive team committed to person‑centred practice, promoting independence, wellbeing and choice.

Adult Social CarePoint is the first point of contact for adult social care in Newcastle. This is an exciting time to join our team as we implement new ways of working to provide the best outcomes for people.

Your role will include responding to crisis/ emergency situations, completing strength‑based Care Act assessments, Carers Assessments, providing advice and information often in challenging situations. You will assist to prevent the need for long‑term support and promote independence, working alongside a multi‑disciplinary team of professionals. The role requires you to be flexible, adapt quickly and have the ability to make sound judgements, often in an emergency.

The applicant should have a relevant social work qualification, such as a degree in Social Work, DipSW, CQSW, CSS or equivalent, and must have current Social Work England registration.

Regular professional support, supervision and appraisal will be provided by the Team Manager.
