About the Role:

Cambridgeshire County Council is seeking a skilled and passionate Social Worker to join the Assessment Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced social worker to make a tangible difference in the lives of children, families, and vulnerable adults across Cambridgeshire.

You will be responsible for undertaking assessments, developing care plans, and ensuring that the well-being of children and adults at risk is safeguarded. You will work collaboratively with families, multi-disciplinary teams, and external agencies to provide the best possible support for those in need.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of children, families, and adults at risk.
• Developing and implementing care plans to support the welfare of vulnerable individuals.
• Providing professional advice and guidance to service users and their families.
• Ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed to protect vulnerable individuals.
• Liaising with other professionals and agencies to coordinate care and support.

What We're Looking For:

• A Social Work qualification (Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, or equivalent).
• HCPC registration.
• Significant experience in children's social care and conducting assessments.
• A sound understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• The ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
