Accommodation Support Worker – Manchester City Council
The Accommodation Support Worker role is a full‑time, permanent position based in Manchester, working 35 hours per week – days, evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays. A 20% flexibility payment is added to the basic wage, which results in a starting salary of £34,876.

The role is subject to:
- Two references (preferably 3 years' history)
- DBS clearance (Enhanced DBS check – subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974)
- Provide face‑to‑face support to residents of temporary accommodation, assisting with universal credit, bank accounts, substance‑use referrals, mental health referrals, budgeting and n.
- Create personalised support plans and listen to residents’ concerns and needs.
- Support residents in making progress toward medium‑ to long‑term accommodation.
- Empathetic with strong people skills.
- Motivated, flexible and able to handle rapidly changing situations in a fast‑paced environment.
- Whole‑person perspective and a desire to support people who are homeless.
