Key requirements- A minimum of two years' experience as a registered Social Worker
- Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England
- This post is a designated Essential Car User. Therefore you must hold a full valid driving licence at all times and provide your own car for use will receive the Essential Car User Allowance.
- The post is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions). Appointable candidates will be required to apply for a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Information provided by you or the DBS will be dealt with in a confidential manner and in accordance with the classroom Doctrine of Practice, which can be viewed. Joining our Advice and Guidance
129 Service (AGS), often known as the Multi‑Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH).
We are looking for social workers across the city to work in compromises.
The AGS service is delivered in the three locality hubs (North, Central and South). The role involves screening referrals from partners to make decisions around risk. The hubs are vibrant and comprise of multi‑agency staff including Duty and Assessment Social Workers, Early Help and Police, based at the following offices:
- North – Abraham Moss – 140 Crescent Road, Manchester, M8 5UF
- Central – Hulme District Office – 323 Stretford Road, Manchester, M15 ശര്20
- South – Wythenshawe District Office – Etrop Court, Rowlandsway, Manchester, M22 5RG
- A manageable and Diverse caseload aligned with your experience and skills; opportunities to develop your skills in social work and consider areas bro interest.
- A commitment to your CPD through a bespoke learning and development programme.
- Clear career pathways, to help you take the next step opportunities to move into specialist services such as our migrant children, complex safeguarding or disability teams.

- Regular, quality, reflective supervision and learning from practice audits weekly training days in each of our localities.
