Wastewater Pump Engineer

Overview

REED Engineering & Manufacturing are working with a fast engineering company. The ideal candidate should have a good electrical skillset/knowledge - possible future opportunities for training. The role will involve other aspects such as lifting pumps/mechanical works e.g replacing PVC pipework. We are looking to grow the electrical department which in turn will mean more installation work prior to our existing works.

• Have a good electrical skillset/knowledge and be open to future training opportunities.
• Carry out lifting pumps and mechanical tasks such as replacing PVC pipework.
• Support growth of the electrical department with installation work ahead of existing works.
• Work primarily on Sewage Pump Stations and Sewage Treatment Plants; work is mainly outdoors and can be dirty.
• Perform other works ranging from Cold Water Booster sets to Zoo Pond pumps.
• Travel may be required with a depot allocation at York; regular trips to the York office to collect/drop parts and undertake in‑house training.
• Work area/location will be kept 'Northern' as much as possible; however, the company covers the UK and may require travel further.
• Occasional lone work or paired work depending on job requirements.
• 1 in 4 call-out rota (24/7).
• Specialist tools are provided; a works van is included in the role.

Remotely based working from home, but depot allocation is ps will be kept to a minimum but regular travel to the York office is required to collect/drop off parts and undertake in‑house training. Work area/location will be kept 'Northern' as much as possible.
