We are actively seeking an Avionics Technician that will be troubleshooting, installing, repairing, maintaining, and modifying avionics and electrical systems on F/A-18 aircraft. This position involves upgrading radar packages, communication equipment, and other systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform avionics troubleshooting and repairs on F/A-18 aircraft.

  • Install and maintain avionics systems and electrical components.

  • Conduct modifications, including upgrades to radar and communication systems.

  • Work with fiber optic cables and installations.

  • Adhere to operational level maintenance procedures.

  • Collaborate with teams to ensure efficient maintenance and repair practices.

Essential Skills

  • 5 - 7 years of depot/heavy maintenance experience on aircraft avionics, preferably fighter jets.

  • Experience with F-18 aircraft is highly preferred.

  • Knowledge of Navy Ratings AE or AT is advantageous.

  • Eligibility for SECRET clearance.

  • Ability to obtain a Boeing badge.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with NAV - magic box is highly preferred.

  • Proficiency in avionic troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance.

Work Environment

The role requires flexibility to work 1st or 2nd shifts within a hangar environment and occasionally on the flight line. While mostly indoors, the hangar is non-climate controlled, offering a dynamic and engaging work setting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
