We are seeking a detail‑oriented Legal Operations Specialist who brings in‑depth knowledge and experience in litigation support and legal operations. After comprehensive onboarding and training, this role requires an individual who works independently with limited guidance, solves complex operational and process problems, and serves as a resource to colleagues with less experience. The specialist will support the efficiency and effectiveness of our legal team through litigation administration, legal technology management, and operational process improvement, working closely with colleagues both inside and outside the legal team across the globe.
This position reports to the Assistant General Counsel and is a remote role; preference will be given to candidates located within reasonable proximity to Chaska, Minnesota, or Brea, California
, to support occasional in‑person collaboration.
- Coordinate, track, and manage complex document and information collection and production for subpoenas, discovery requests, and regulatory inquiries, litigation accruals, litigation holds, case files, and matter management activities with a high degree of independence, and outside counsel invoices and legal spend.
- Administer and enhance the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system, including system maintenance, troubleshooting, and serving as a go‑to resource for internal users.
- Manage our Enterprise Risk Management Program, including collecting and organizing input from risk owners and preparing for discussions around risk mitigation strategies.
- Lead department‑wide project management, including tracking strategic initiatives, deadlines, deliverables, and DBS‑aligned process improvements, and identify and implement solutions to complex operational challenges and drive continuous improvement.
- Provide general operational support to the legal department as needed and act as a partner to attorneys, business partners, and cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree required; paralegal certificate or legal operations certification is a plus.
- 5+ years of litigation support, paralegal work, or legal operations experience (in‑house or law firm).
- Demonstrated expertise with document collection, subpoena responses, and discovery coordination.
- Background in the life sciences, diagnostics, or healthcare industry.

CompensationThe annual salary range for this role is $85,000-$115,000
. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
