Position SummaryMeritus is seeking armed security officers to support U.S. Naval infrastructure operations. Officers must be capable of meeting federal security standards, obtaining a national security clearance, and demonstrating a high level of professionalism and proficiency while performing armed protective services.
Primary Responsibilities- Provide armed security services at U.S. Naval facilities
- Protect personnel, property, and critical infrastructure
- Enforce access control and security protocols
- Respond to incidents and emergencies as required
- Maintain compliance with all federal, contract, and site-specific requirements
- Complete clear, accurate, and professional written reports
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Minimum 2 years of security experience
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation
- Ability to obtain and maintain a national security clearance
- Must fluently speak, read, and write English
- Medical evaluation
- Drug screening
High school diploma or equivalent required
DD214 required for prior military service (if applicable)
Certifications & Credentials- Valid driver’s license
- CPR / First Aid / AED certification (company provided)
- Firearms certifications (company provided):
- M4
- M9
- M11
- Mossberg 500
- Defensive tools training (company provided)

Part-time
Shifts may include:
- 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shifts
- Day or night shifts
- Weekends and holidays
- Overtime as required
- Monday–Friday schedules may be available depending on operational needs
