Overview
About The Role Security Manager is responsible for ensuring the security of the company's network infrastructure assets and personnel, particularly within the context of the M25 DBFO (Design, Build, Finance, and Operate) contract. This role involves developing and implementing security policies, managing security infrastructure, responding to security incidents, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The manager also leads a team of security professionals, fostering a culture of security awareness and best practices.
Responsibilities- Security Strategy And Policy
:
Develop and maintain the company's network security strategy, policies, and procedures in line with contractual obligations. - Security Infrastructure Management
:
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of network security infrastructure, including all related security systems. - Incident Response
:
Lead the response to security incidents, including investigating breaches, mitigating damage, and implementing corrective actions. - Compliance
:
Ensure compliance with relevant security regulations and standards, such as those related to data protection and information security, and alignment with contractual obligations and operational plans for network resilience. - Risk Management
:
Identify and assess security risks and implement appropriate measures to mitigate them. - Security Awareness Training / Security Vetting / Table Top Exercises
:
Promote security awareness among employees and contractors and ensure all necessary vetting/security clearance is in place. - Team Leadership
:
Ownership and accountability in the management and mentoring of a team of security professionals. - Collaboration
:
Work closely with other teams within Connect Plus Services, as well as with external professional partners, to ensure a coordinated approach to security. - Continuous Improvement
:
Identify opportunities and new methodologies to improve the effectiveness of the company's security posture.
