Responsibilities
Responsible for all aspects of site security to protect people, assets, and reputation. This role coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations. Implementing our physical security asset strategy, supporting compliance and business protection. This position addresses the increasing threats from organized criminal activity targeting our assets. - Implement the Asset Security strategy at UK power generation and storage facilities.
- Conduct site security risk assessments and implement appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
- Provide support for physical security projects by applying relevant standards and offering technical consultancy.
- Maintain and update a site risk register, actively evaluating risks associated with changes in site usage or security systems.
- Develop, review, and routinely test a comprehensive site security plan.
- Oversee contract security service providers as well as maintenance services.
- Contribute to the implementation of the security strategy and maintain compliance with applicable policies and regulations. Proven experience working within a security team environment.
- Ability to translate corporate security strategy into actionable plans and procedures.
- Proficiency in protective security standards and related technologies.
- Preferably previous experience within the critical infrastructure sector and NIS regulation.
- Ability to foster a strong security culture and facilitate security training and communications.
