Summary
The Security Outreach Lead will provide strategic direction and be responsible for clearly and effectively explaining complex security concepts and promoting the security behaviors necessary to protect Huntington’s colleagues, customers, and communities. This position serves as a strategic leader on the Huntington Security Communications and Outreach team and supports the Cybersecurity, Enterprise Fraud, Physical Security, and Segment Risk organizations.
Duties and Responsibilities- Lead targeted and enterprise-wide communications, training, and awareness projects in collaboration with Security Leaders.
- Monitor and identify top human risks to ensure proper communication and training of the best practices needed to mitigate those risks.
- Ensure the program is effectively changing behaviors to reduce human risk to the organization.
- Identify roles that require additional or more specialized training to combat more complex organizational risk inherent to the work they complete.
- Drive a security awareness culture that engages colleagues, focusing on changing behaviors both at home and at work, using interactive and innovative audio and video learning experiences.
- Expand colleague knowledge through training, campaigns, education fairs, and events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 5 years experience in written communications and/or training development and facilitation.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Prior experience in Marketing, Communications, or similar field of study.
- Expert in training development and facilitation.
- 3 years of related experience in, or supporting, Cybersecurity, Fraud, Physical Security or Segment Risk.
- Previous business segment experience within financial services.
- Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and design skills with demonstrable competence and experience in clearly explaining complex information security concepts and technologies for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Advanced knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods, including alternative ways to inform via written, oral, and visual media.
- Advanced understanding of organizational training and education policies, processes, and procedures, including knowledge of computer-based training and e‑learning services.
- Expert competency in the Microsoft suite of applications.
- Highly motivated self‑starter with strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills and the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks against aggressive deadlines in a fast‑paced, agile environment.
- Proven track record of working effectively in a matrix environment and as a team player while establishing and managing multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in an agile environment where a continuous improvement mindset.
