We are seeking an experienced Senior Cyber Operator to support a client’s vulnerability management program. In this role, you will serve as a subject matter expert on program processes and platforms, ensuring data quality, consistency, and effective coordination across business units. You will collaborate with client teams, guide junior staff, and drive process improvements that enhance visibility and strengthen the overall vulnerability management program.
Responsibilities- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on the client’s vulnerability management process and supporting platform.
- Act as the primary liaison between business units and the vulnerability management team to determine vulnerability applicability and develop action plans for addressing identified vulnerabilities.
- Maintain and improve data quality across vulnerability and asset management systems, including verifying and updating client asset inventories.
- Conduct manual source evaluations for assets or applications not currently covered by automated vulnerability scanning tools.
- Identify and correct data quality issues and ensure consistency across platforms.
- Support process documentation and knowledge sharing to drive program efficiency and standardization.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members to ensure process adherence and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with internal team leads and client vulnerability management program staff to ensure program goals, metrics, and service expectations are met.
- Act as a point of contact for the client’s vulnerability management program staff for questions, troubleshooting, or platform support.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives, leveraging a deep understanding of the platform’s functionality and client processes.
- 5 years of experience in a professional environment or a combination of relevant experience and completion of a cybersecurity boot camp.
- Proficient in applying cybersecurity frameworks, tools, and best practices.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to leverage AI tools and independently use and refine prompts to enhance the quality, efficiency, and insight of regular work processes.
- Cybersecurity related certifications (Network+, Security+, CySA+ or equivalent).
- Associate Degree required.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
