Role DescriptionThis is a part-time hybrid role for a Wetland Delineator based in the Greater Houston area, with the flexibility to work from home as needed. The Wetland Delineator will perform wetland and stream delineations, conduct ecological field surveys, assess habitats, prepare detailed reports, compile environmental data, and provide project support. Responsibilities may also include working with GIS to create maps and assisting in regulatory permitting processes.
Qualifications- Proficiency in wetland and stream delineation, and experience with identifying hydrophytic vegetation, hydric soils, and other wetland indicators
- Familiarity with GIS mapping, environmental data analysis, and technical reporting
- Experience with water quality sampling, environmental testing, and habitat assessments
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental regulations such as the Clean Water Act, and familiarity with mitigation banking
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Biology, Ecology, or a related field is preferred; relevant certifications or training are a plus
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on-site and remotely
