Project Management and Operations Officer - Data Core

At the VIB Data Core, we empower scientists by delivering advanced infrastructure and services that tackle complex challenges in data storage, management, and computing. We work together with world-class partners, such as the ELIXIR consortium.

To support and manage our portfolio of projects, we are currently looking for a Project Management and Operations Officer. One of your main tasks will be to take on the role of Node Coordinator in ELIXIR Belgium ((Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).).

• Project management for ELIXIR Belgium
  , including organisation of events and project/governance meetings, coordination of node service evaluations, support for grant proposal submissions and project reporting, communication (approx. 50%).

• Administrative support for European projects
  , including follow-up on reporting requirements and organisation of project events (approx. 25%).

• Administrative support for the Data Core
  , ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and coordination (approx. 25%).

• Close collaboration with the Data Core Heads and Team Leads, and the Financial Officer.

• A MSc degree in Biomedical Sciences or Life Sciences in general
• Demonstrated experience in project management and coordination
• Experience with administration and organizational tasks
• Affinity with life science data and bioinformatics
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
