Health Justice & Decolonisation – Birkbeck, University of London
Birkbeck, University of London, has an exciting opportunity for a Researcher interested in research impact to conduct a series of podcasts on health justice and decolonisation.
ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will design, produce, and deliver a series of podcasts that contribute to a growing research network focused on health justice. You will work closely with established scholars, curating a diverse range of voices across disciplines, backgrounds, and lived experiences.
ContractFixed-term contract until 31 May 2026, part‑time (approximately 5 hours per week, up to 60 hours in total). Mainly working from home, with flexible and hybrid working patterns.
Salary: £24.24 per hour (pro‑rata £44,247 per year). Grade 7 on the College’s London Pay Scale, which includes a consolidated London Weighting Allowance.

About YouYou will bring academic experience in medical humanities, medical sociology, or a closely related field, alongside a strong commitment to health justice. You will be well‑versed in discussions surrounding the decolonisation of academic research and enthusiastic about producing and curating a diverse group of scholars across disciplines, life experiences, and social identities. Strong qualitative research skills are essential, particularly experience in conducting and shaping in‑depth, long‑form interviews for public‑facing content.
