Make an impact with our Agronomy team as an Agronomist located in North Battleford, Biggar, or Wilkie. This diverse team of professionals specializes in multiple service offerings including full-service field scouting, variable fertility & seed mapping, crop intelligence moisture probes and more. As an Agronomist you will have the opportunity to spend your time in the field learning applied Precision Agronomy.

Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Conduct field scouting visits regarding plant stand/establishment, herbicide timing/efficacy, insect and disease management checks.
  • Perform soil tests and plant tissue tests, including analysis to perform recommendations.
  • Carry out functions related to the Variable Rate process, including mapping, soil sampling, and crop assessments.
  • Conduct analysis through the winter months regarding fertility & seed recommendations, soil moisture data, and yield data.
  • Investigate and evaluate potential opportunities to provide further value to our customers.
  • Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary.
  • Located in North Battleford, Biggar, or Wilkie.
  • Skills and Experience

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in Agriculture or related field.
  • At least 2 years of agronomy experience minimum.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
  • Duties will require independent work within a team atmosphere.
  • Ability to work out of a home office when not performing in-field functions.
  • Willingness to work in an outdoor setting, along with overtime as needed during peak season.
  • Applicants who hold either a P.Ag or Tech.

    Ag. designation in Saskatchewan must be registered or become registered with the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists as defined by The Agrologists Act.
  • Applicants who hold either a P.Ag or Tech.

    Ag. designation in Manitoba must be registered with the Manitoba Institute of Agrologists.
