Contract: Full Time, 10-11 Month Contract with possibility for indefinite extension

Availability: Hiring for current and future openings starting throughout Spring – Summer 2026

Compensation: CAD $33.17 - $40.77 per hour commensurate with skills and experience

Position

Orix is looking for passionate Core Logging and Mapping Field Geologists to join our team for field projects on a 16 Days on, 12 Days off rotation. This role offers professional development and a progressive corporate culture.

• University Degree in Geological Sciences
• Geologist-in-Training (G.I.T.) designation or greater is required
• Experience in core logging and/or mapping on a mineral exploration field project is advantageous
• Valid First Aid Certificate is an asset
• Superior communication, interpersonal, client service skills, with strong attention to detail and integrity
• Commitment to health and safety; understanding and adherence to safety protocols; ability to report hazards, near misses, and incidents
• Ability to work in remote field locations for 2-week periods (16 Days on, 12 Days off)

• Field Work:
  Support exploration programs related to drill and/or mapping programs including core logging and sampling
• Ground truthing, mapping, targeting, lining up drill rigs, and professional conduct in various communities/jurisdictions
• Other Duties:
  Work alongside, support and/or supervise other colleagues (including student geologists and technicians)
• Ability to travel to and from remote work sites
• Any other geological duties as required by the project supervisor
