General Description

Chroma Systems Solutions, Inc. is a leading designer and manufacturer of power testing instruments and systems including programmable AC Power Source and DC Power Supplies, AC loads and DC Electronic Loads, Digital Power Meters and Automated Testing Systems for applications in LED Lighting, Led Drivers, Aerospace, Defense, Military, Automotive, Medical, Battery, Solar, Marine, and Regulatory Testing. We’re looking for a Regional Sales Manager to sell our EST and LCR product lines throughout the US.

This is a full-time position with the opportunity to receive benefits after 90 days of employment. Benefits include Medical, Dental, 401K, Profit Sharing, Vacation, Sick, and Holiday Pay. The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) builds strong relationships with customers and identifies solutions for their electrical safety test (EST) and passive component meter (LCR) requirements. The RSM is responsible for keeping the management team informed of strategic planning and performance, and for working with cross functional teams such as Inside Sales, Marketing, Order Management, and Service.

The RSM is also responsible for ensuring that any challenges affecting the ability to develop long term relationships between Chroma and its customers in their assigned area are managed to resolution. The position requires excellent people-management skills, a high focus on sales targets, an ability to communicate at all levels in the organization, and a thorough understanding of Chroma’s products and applications.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic plan for region to ensure sales targets are given every opportunity to be met.
  • Responsible and accountable for EST & LCR Instrument sales targets as well as identifying EST & LCR Automated Test Equipment (ATE) solution opportunities.
  • Travel into region on regular basis (20%–25%) to meet with key customers and prospects, and to attend trade shows and networking events.
  • Perform product demonstrations to customers/prospects while differentiating Chroma products and solutions from competitive offerings.
  • Work with CRM sales database.
  • Ability to target, set strategy, and penetrate new key accounts consistently.
  • Focus on new growth markets and target key accounts.
  • Look for ways to improve sales in their region and communicate ideas to senior management.
  • Follow-up with customers on quotes and information.
Qualifications
  • 4-Year College degree – BSEE degree preferred.
  • Regional Sales experience in electrical safety testing industry preferred.
  • Prior sales experience with proven track record in achieving and overachieving sales targets.
  • Strong business acumen to articulate and understand customer requirements as well as Chroma’s internal requirements.
  • Electrical Safety Testing products background is a strong plus.
  • Proven track record in achieving and overachieving targets.
  • Skilled in prospecting, negotiating, and closing sales.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and preferably Sage CRM.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This is a non-supervisory position.

Physical Demands

General office skills and dexterity are required. Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
