OverviewEagleview, the leader in aerial imagery, is hiring a Sales Engineer in Government Sales. The Sales Engineer role is a pivotal role on Eagleview s Government team, reporting to the Regional Vice President, Sales. As part of the Government-focused solutions, this role is essential in supporting the new sales efforts for Eagleview’s products, services, and data solutions with federal, state, and local government entities.
We are a fast paced, energetic team driven by continuous process improvement. We’re looking for motivated, organized, and independent team members. This position requires good communication skills and the ability to quickly pick up new technologies.
This position will serve as the front-line technical expert for our Government sales team. This position will be US-based and remote, with travel to government sites, partner locations, and conferences as required. The role will ensure that Eagleview s solutions meet the unique needs of government clients, including integration with third party workflows across the government enterprise.
This is a full-time, remote role, with a base salary range of $70,000-$80,000, and a commission target of $32,000-$43,000.
The ideal candidate will live in/near the Dallas/Fort Worth Area.
Responsibilities- New Sales Opportunities
- Work individually and with the DM’s to grow new business for Eagleview’s government focused solutions, including imagery viewing software, data layers, sketch validation solutions, and integration possibilities, to government prospects.
- Act as the primary technical liaison during sales presentations, demonstrations, and discussions.
- Solution Design and Technical Architecture
- Work closely with the sales team to design tailored technical solutions for government clients, understanding their specific needs and challenges.
- Help craft proposals and recommend Eagleview products/services that align with government requirements, such as scalability, security, and compliance.
- Bridge between Sales and Product teams
- Collaborate closely with Product & Engineering teams, gathering market feedback, documenting product roadmaps, and ensuring that new features meet the unique requirements of government clients.
- Customer Discovery and Requirements Gathering
- Conduct deep discovery sessions with prospective government clients to understand their technical and operational requirements.
- Translate these needs into actionable solution architectures that showcase the benefits of Eagleview’s offerings.
- Proof of Concept (PoC) Support
- Lead or assist in the creation and execution of Proof of Concepts (PoCs) for government clients, demonstrating Eagleview’s capabilities in real-world scenarios to drive adoption and close deals.
- RFP/RFI/RFQ Support
- Collaborate with Sales and Proposal teams to respond to government Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and Requests for Quotes (RFQs).
- Provide technical input and help craft responses that highlight Eagleview’s solutions and address client-specific requirements.
- Pre-Sales Training & Enablement
- Train internal sales teams on technical aspects of Eagleview’s products and services, enabling them to better position the solutions during the sales process.
- Provide continuous support in answering technical questions from Sales teams during customer engagements.
- Strong understanding of GIS, REST APIs, SDKs, ESRI, cloud infrastructure, and modern security implementations with a focus on compliance standards applicable to government organizations.
- 3-5 years of technical experience in a GIS role, ideally within the public sector or with government agencies.
