Overview

Account Manager

This position is responsible for developing and executing account plans for new and/or existing small to mid-sized corporate accounts in an assigned territory. Expands revenue footprint with existing customers and prospects new business in order to close full solution sale to corporate customers.

Products: Risk/Fraud - Thomson Reuters risk-fraud investigations

Location: remote based role. Candidate MUST live in territory.

About the Role: In this opportunity as Account Manager, you will:

Responsibilities
  • Prospecting:
    Actively seek out new business opportunities with both new and existing customers to build a strong sales pipeline. Keep your sales pipeline clean and up to date, aiming for 3 times coverage of your sales targets on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Account Management:
    Focused on companies with revenues of less than $500M, leading the entire sales process from prospecting to deal closing to renewal.
  • Sales Goals:
    Meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:

    Work closely with other teams within the organization to tailor our solutions to address customer needs.
  • Relationship Building:
    Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders, understanding their challenges and demonstrating how our solutions can address them.
  • Salesforce Maintenance:
    Regularly update the CRM system (Salesforce) to maintain accurate records of sales activities and provide reliable sales forecasts.
  • Engage in direct client meetings either in person or via platforms like MS Teams.
About You

You're a fit for the role of Account Manager if you have:

  • College degree preferred with a minimum of 4 years direct field sales experience (corporate sector sales preferred) with a proven track record of sales quota achievement.
  • Experience in the Fin Tech space and/or selling data solutions is a plus.
  • Proven ability to sell complex technology solutions to small and medium companies (less than $500M in revenue), using a consultative and value-based approach.
  • Experience with high-velocity sales and a land-and-expand approach; experience selling to C-level executives using a solution-selling approach and the ability to identify business challenges and impact if they are not addressed.
  • Skilled in leading detailed sales processes involving various stakeholders.
  • Enthusiastic about prospecting and able to manage the entire sales cycle independently from initiation to closure.
  • Ability to develop and execute an account plan.
  • Able to work from home office and travel to customer locations.

In the United States, Thomson Reuters offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, a 401k plan, paid time off, holidays (including two mental health days), parental leave, and other programs. The target total cash compensation range for eligible US locations is $136,500 USD - $253,500 USD, with pay positioned based on knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
