Field Sales Manager

Can you work independently covering your own area and still be part of the Sales and Head Office Team?

You will be responsible for seeking out new opportunities by prospecting new clients, developing new business, and growing existing business, within the North.

Its a big area:
All of Yorkshire, Cheshire, Lincolnshire, Lancashire, Merseyside and Manchester!

So you will be great at journey planning, tracking sales and taking full accountability for territory budgets/KPIs.

You will have a great existing client base from independent retailers to small convenience stores to petrol stations to national retailers. And you will be expected to add to your client base by developing effective working relationships with new clients you find on your travels!

You will be home based ideally Manchester, Leeds or Cheshire and cover the North as outlined above. If overnight stays are required, hotels and meal allowances will be paid for. It is up to you to effectively plan your sales routes to maximise opportunities.

• Develop and maintain exceptional consultative relationships with existing clients, maximising customer retention and brand awareness
• Generate sales and opportunities by prospecting new customers, assessing their needs, and effectively selling products and offerings
• Develop positive and long‑lasting relationships with customers over the phone and face‑to‑face, to maximise business potential
• Maintain consistent communication with customers and follow up with prospects in a timely manner
• Carry out well‑planned client meetings and presentations
• Deliver to KPIs and targets set to achieve strategic financial goals
• Prepare and generate quotations for customers
• Maintain records with sales figures, financial reports and relevant customer data
• Collaborate with other Business Development Managers regarding sales figures and share best practice
• Keep abreast of industry changes, trends, developments and key competitors and communicate when necessary

• Previous experience of business‑to‑business field sales within the FMCG or retail industries
• Experience managing strategic sales funnels and translating them into tangible sales
• Demonstrable success against KPIs and targets
• Exceptional communication, presentation and Excel skills
• A results‑oriented, tenacious self‑starter
• Ambitious and keen to drive career forward within the organisation
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
