Job Description: Capital Equipment Sales & Business Development Representative (South America)
Location: Vaughan, Ontario (Remote/Hybrid options available)
Reports To: Sales Director
Language Requirement: Native or Professional Fluency in Spanish (Written and Verbal)
Position OverviewWe are seeking a high-performing Capital Equipment Sales and Business Development Representative to service the South American market. This individual will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing complex sales cycles for high-value capital equipment, and building long-term strategic partnerships across South America. While reporting to our headquarters in Vaughan, this role offers the flexibility of remote work for candidates who demonstrate strong self-management and a proven track record in international sales.
Key Responsibilities- Market Expansion: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to penetrate key industries within the South American market.
- Full Sales Cycle Management: Lead the entire sales process from initial prospecting and technical consultation to contract negotiation and closing.
- Relationship Management: Establish and maintain relationships with C‑suite executives, plant managers, and procurement departments.
- Technical Presentation: Conduct professional product demonstrations and technical presentations (in Spanish) to diverse stakeholders.
- Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of regional economic trends, regulatory requirements, and competitor activity in South America.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with the Vaughan-based engineering and support teams to ensure equipment specifications meet client needs.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in Capital Equipment sales or high-value Business Development.
- Language: Complete fluency in Spanish is mandatory. Professional proficiency in English is required for internal reporting.
- Industry Knowledge: Proven experience navigating the complexities of long-cycle capital expenditure (Cap Ex) sales.
- Regional Expertise: Existing network or deep understanding of business culture and import/export nuances within South American territories.
- Travel: Ability to travel internationally as required to meet with clients and attend industry trade shows.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) to track international pipelines.
- Strong financial acumen related to ROI calculations and equipment financing.
