Join an established internship providing real world experience working directly with independent insurance agency partners around the country.
** Duties in the Marketing Communications Department include:
*** Communicate with prospective agents via telephone to identify their interest in an appointment with BHHC
* Craft marketing messages to inform and sell prospective agents on benefits of partnering with BHHC
* Use internal data to understand market, BHHC product offering, and potential areas of growth
* Acquire market intelligence via phone conversations with prospective agents, team meetings, interface with Field Marketing Representatives, and industry publications.
* Assist Agency Unit with application process and follow up with prospective agencies for completeness
* Perform other marketing duties as assigned.
** During this internship, the student will gain:
*** Professional verbal and written communication skills
* Data analysis skills with experience in Excel, Power

BI, and Co Pilot
* Confidence in collaborating with diverse people
* Knowledge of fundamental principles of insurance including commercial auto and property
* Knowledge of Marketing Department operations
** Requirements:
*** Sophomore or Junior
* Marketing or business major and maintain full-time course load during internship
* Proficiency with personal computers and software such as Excel and Word
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Excellent customer service skills
* Excellent phone skills
* Excellent organization skills
* Ability to meet deadlines
