The Southeast Area Sales Manager, preferably based in Charlotte or Atlanta, is responsible for representing RTI’s innovative X‑ray test equipment to Hospitals, X‑ray Imaging Engineers, Diagnostic Medical Physicists, State Inspectors, and Field Service companies. This role requires a strong background in outside sales and a passion for technology sales. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities while managing existing accounts within the territory.

- Remote Outside Sales Position, operating from a professional home office setup.
- Require residence in a major metropolitan area near a major airport.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel up to 50%.
- Valid passport is required.
- Position reports to the VP Sales, RTI Group North America
- Primary Call Points:
Hospital Biomed/Clinical Engineering departments, Diagnostic Medical Physicists, X‑ray Field Service organizations, and State X‑ray Inspectors. - Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve territory sales goals.
- Conduct outside sales activities including prospecting, cold calling, lead generation, and product demonstrations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships within Hospitals, Imaging Engineers, Physicists, and Service Companies.
- Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals.
- Utilize CRM software for tracking customer interactions and managing accounts.
- Provide technical sales support and product knowledge to clients.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities for growth.
- Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the sales process and beyond.
- Bachelor’s Degree, College Diploma, or equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum three (3) plus years of documented sales success, exceeding sales quotas in an outside sales environment.
- Proven experience in Business Development, focusing on generating new business, sales leads, and managing a sales pipeline for growth.
- Solution/Technical sales expertise, with the ability to discuss and understand customer requirements and effectively position RTI’s solutions.
- Primary call points include Biomedical and Clinical Engineering, Independent Service Organizations (ISOs), State Health Inspectors, and Diagnostic Medical Physicists.
- Prefer background in the healthcare industry, particularly selling to hospitals, biomedical/clinical engineering, and knowledge of medical imaging systems (Rad/Fluoro, CT, Mammography, Dental).
- Unrestricted access to customer sites, including hospitals, and imaging centers.
- Strong desire to make an immediate impact and a commitment to bring skills up to speed.
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present to diverse audiences, perform product demonstrations, and engage with decision‑makers, engineers, management, physicists, and purchasing.
- Proactive approach to creating and maintaining high levels of sales activity, managing KPIs.
- Experience in managing, tracking, and reporting lead status to the field sales team and internal staff.
- Detail‑oriented with solid organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
- Effective multitasking, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in CRM, managing and monitoring the customer relationship management system, and ensuring compliance with field sales entries.
- Strong computer skills in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
