We work and form close working partnerships with many parties operating in the sphere of special purpose vehicles: fleet end users, conversion houses, base vehicle OEMs and distributors. Haztec is a business-to-business supplier.
Our target applications are inherently bespoke and our products are selected and configured to suit the exacting needs of each and every vehicle we serve. Haztec products are typically technical in nature and integrated into vehicles by highly-skilled installers.
In 2026 Haztec is accelerating growth of its UK & Ireland market business, taking advantage of the company’s substantial and continually evolving product line.
What you'll be doingReporting to the Commercial Director the successful candidate will be responsible for growing existing accounts and developing substantial new customer relationships and sales.
The sales territory for this role is nominally the Midlands, southern England and south Wales. The individual will play a pivotal role in the growth of Haztec's UK & Ireland business.
Contact with overseas converters and participation at international exhibitions is required to support the wider business in the course of fulfilling this role. Subsequently, overseas travel and overnight stays will be required in addition to weekly domestic travel.
Further details as follows:
- Responsibility for sustaining and growing sales from a defined group of existing accounts and target assignments. Research and identification of potential new customers.
- Pure new business development: identify new potential customers, ‘cold’ first contact, develop all-new relationships leading to new sales.
- Assess customer enquiries and product requirements, often working with complex vehicle build specifications, and subsequently produce technical quotations.
- Effectively respond to public sector tenders and assist in monitoring for new framework/contract opportunities.
- Assist with industry exhibitions, in the UK and overseas, partaking in stand transport, setup and takedown and sales representation.
- Regular reporting to the business regarding weekly activities, including data related to development of potential new customers, forthcoming orders, new product requirements and sales pipeline.
- The role is home-based but with frequent travel as required in the fulfilment of duties and with periodic requirement to be on-site at the Haztec facility in Yeadon.
- Experienced Sales Manager able to evidence successful management of business accounts and offer details relating to previous achievements in pure new business development.
- Previous experience working with professional vehicle fleets, and particularly those involved in emergency operations, is preferred.
- A general understanding of motor vehicles, their electrical systems and awareness of automotive market trends would be beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English language.
- Good numerical competence required (costings, margins, pricing, data analysis).
- High proficiency in the use of PCs and Microsoft Office software. Experience in use of business management software including those relating to MRP, quotations and CRM, beneficial.
- Full UK driving licence essential.
- Valid Passport required.
