Responsible for overseeing all sales and account activities for a full product portfolio within an assigned geographic territory (U.S. or international). This role works closely with technical sales engineers and internal sales support teams to build relationships, drive growth, and execute strategic sales initiatives aligned with regional objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Develop and execute sales strategies and initiatives for the assigned territory
- Implement sales and marketing plans for new and existing customers to meet or exceed annual revenue goals
- Build, manage, and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders
- Deliver professional sales presentations and product training to customers, prospects, and industry influencers, including distributors, contractors, engineers, architects, plant managers, and regulatory officials
- Research and secure product specifications on residential and light commercial projects
- Maintain a regular schedule of customer and prospect visits and calls, with consistent activity reporting to leadership
- Troubleshoot product issues and, when necessary, conduct on-site visits to assess and resolve concerns
- Lead and coordinate manufacturer sales representatives within the territory to identify new business opportunities and manage existing accounts
- Participate in and staff industry trade shows and customer events throughout the territory
- Review sales performance, forecasts, and budget requirements with sales representatives on a quarterly basis
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree preferred
- Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership and team-management capabilities
- Strong knowledge of sales and customer service best practices
- Ability to travel up to 75% within the assigned territory
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to set up, staff, and manage trade show booths and events
- 15+ years of industry experience; HVAC background preferred (oil heat experience a plus)
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Ideally located centrally within the territory and able to work from a home office
