The French American Chamber of Commerce is recruiting a North America Sales Manager for one of its corporate members in the industrial valve sector.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Sales Manager for North America will lead all commercial efforts in the region. The role focuses on revenue and profit growth through the development of the go-to-market strategy with end users, agents, distributors, and resellers. A strong emphasis is placed on customer experience and long-term market expansion.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and lead the sales strategy to expand revenue and market share.
  • Analyze customer needs and present technical and commercial solutions.
  • Assess and optimize the distribution network; identify key partners.
  • Implement structured channel management and annual planning with distributors.
  • Work with inside sales, agents, and resellers to grow new accounts.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain to meet delivery metrics.
  • Identify adjacent product and system selling opportunities.
  • Adapt sales incentive plans to drive performance.
  • Capture Voice of Customer and market insight for product strategy.
  • Build and lead a high-performance sales organization.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the industry and competitive landscape.
  • Frequent visits to end users, EPCs, agents, and distributors.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Established network with end users and engineering companies.
  • Strong technical background, ideally in the valve industry.
  • High energy, urgency, and passion for winning.
  • Proven team builder and developer of sales talent.
  • Ability to drive change and best practices.
  • Strong customer focus and relationship management.
  • Results-oriented with sound decision-making.
  • Humility, integrity, and trustworthiness.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 10 years of strategic sales leadership in a process flow or distribution environment.
  • Experience selling engineered valves and custom solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business; MBA a plus.
  • Strong understanding of selling through agents and distributors.
  • Ability to identify new market opportunities and products.
  • Excellent communication and matrix collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of direct marketing and digital sales tools.
