The Education Advisor’s core responsibility is to establish and maintain a consistent physical brand presence in the field. This presence actively drives strategic, high-value, revenue-generating opportunities with both new and existing customers through proactive outreach that increases market engagement, deepens penetration, and boosts saturation within key accounts aligned with Pitsco’s ideal customer profile.
The position is responsible for selling and marketing Pitsco Education solutions to educational institutions within a core territory. Main tasks include leading selling of products and services as needed, including follow-up and qualifying leads within their territory. Also required to research opportunities in new and/or underdeveloped markets; provide recommendations to management; forecast, create, and manage new sales and business opportunities and partnerships;
attend trade shows; and coordinate workshops. Qualified candidates for this position will demonstrate energy and commitment to Pitsco Education both internally and externally. This candidate will be required to live in the states of New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut or Florida. These tasks are accomplished by performing the following duties.
- Maintaining a proactive, consistent, and diversified (multichannel) outbound communication strategy focused on field presence, relationship development, and strategic revenue generation with Accounts that match Pitsco Education’s Ideal Customer Profile
- Prioritizing strategic, proactive travel to key regions within a specified territory that generates market engagement and revenue-generating opportunities
- Attending and strategically maximizing ROI and engagement before, during, and after state or regionally based conferences, conventions, summits, symposiums, or competitions that align with Pitsco’s priority market segments
- Generating and managing opportunities to host and lead hands-on workshop experiences that focus on lead generation, thought leadership, and physical brand presence in key regions
- Embracing and utilizing a solution-selling approach
- Creating and implementing annual business plans focused on a given territory
- Building a sales pipeline
- Following up all leads within specific time frames
- Submitting all sales expense accounts per company procedures
- Maintaining market share and profitability in accordance with annual plans and budget
- Producing additional sales to present customers and generating new customers
- Using sales data to drive decision-making for territory insight and growth
- Understanding the education market’s needs and dynamics
- Utilizing sales technology tools (e-sell) to prospect, sell, and market to clients

- College degree with three years of sales experience
- Self-motivated worker with excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Experience with a CRM system preferred
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to travel within a given region or territory 30%+ of the time required
- Current and valid driver’s license
- Own or lease a reliable vehicle for day-to-day travel
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- General office environment
