Sales Manager, Sales Engineer
THALETEC USA Inc. is seeking a Sales Manager to drive our North American expansion and client acquisition strategy.
About the OpportunityAs our North American Sales Manager, you'll be instrumental in building strategic client relationships, creating a robust sales pipeline in pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturing sectors, and collaborating with colleagues to identify aftermarket opportunities. The role includes business development initiatives through trade shows, cold calls, and technical writing about our equipment, spare parts, service, and other related topics.

- Background in chemical/pharmaceutical industry with corrosion-resistant equipment experience (glass-lined carbon steel or similar materials)
- Familiar with the competitive landscape and how to overcome customer push-back
- 10 years of experience in capital equipment sales, marketing, or business development
- Proven track record in selling complex technical solutions, spare parts and associated services
- Experience with stage-gated capital expenditure projects
- Strong listening skills with ability to align solutions with customer needs
- Self-directed with attention to detail and independent worker who collaborates well with leadership
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field
- Advanced degree or additional technical certifications are a plus
The ideal candidate will:
- Collaborate closely with our Vice President of Sales & Service
- Manage entire sales lifecycle and build long-term client relationships
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline with a focus on long-term client relationships
- Develop and maintain a consultative approach to understanding and meeting client needs
- Provide technical support and ensure customer inquiries are addressed promptly
- Overnight travel required up to 80% of the time
