Sales Manager – Industrial Drive Technology | Gears & Winches
Our client is seeking a Sales Manager to be responsible for managing sales activities across North and South America. This role requires strong technical aptitude, the ability to conduct commercial and technical negotiations, and experience selling engineered or technical products. The position is remote but heavily field‑based, requiring extensive travel to customer sites, industry events, and client meetings.
Requirements- Negotiate contracts and close deals with customers.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and manage post‑sales follow‑up.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and emerging markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to adjust sales strategies.
- Prepare sales forecasts, performance reports, and analysis for leadership.
- Work closely with marketing and product teams to align messaging and offerings.
- Lead commercial and technical negotiations with customer procurement teams.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet company revenue targets.
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings.
- Manage sales activities for ZOLLERN Gears & Winches throughout North and South America.
- Collaborate with inside sales on operational tasks including quote preparation, invoice follow‑up, and related activities.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel 50%+, including international travel.
- Structured, independent working style with strong accountability.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset.
- 3–5+ years of successful outside sales experience, ideally within drive technology or technical/engineered products.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand technical product details (experience with drive technology preferred)
- Proven ability to conduct commercial and technical negotiations with procurement teams.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Prior experience in technical sales.
- Experience using Sage or similar systems.
