What You Will Experience In This Position
- Develop and implement a sales strategy that focuses on Liquid Cooling (HDLC) Solutions for data centers. You will work with leading Technology Companies and System Manufacturers to drive sales growth from a remote home office, anywhere in the US.
- Handle relationships with customers to understand their requirements and develop appropriate solution(s) to best meet their needs.
- Support the business through the generation of new growth accounts while maintaining and developing existing accounts.
- Continuously scan for prospects with current or new customers to achieve new sales, expand offerings within the account, and populate the account pipeline consistently and on a timely basis.
- Provide extensive product and solutions training for customers, especially in the cabinet, power, and cooling products.
- Must have the ability to lead complex accounts with multiple partners at multiple locations.
- Maintain knowledge of competitors’ activities throughout assigned territory/accounts.
- Understand current market relationships and partnerships with customers.
- Work closely with product management and marketing teams to develop new innovative products for the data center and networking market.
- Although we have this role posted in multiple locations, we are only making 1 hire***
- Ideally 5+ years outside sales/account management experience within the server/data center industry, selling high-density liquid cooling (HDLC) products to OEMS, 7+ years of experience highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
- Demonstrated skills associated with selling to Server Manufacturers.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage partnerships to drive the strategic plan and alignment to organizational strategy to advance opportunities.
- Validated experience with cold calling and business development activities.
- Skills in verbal communication, written communication, and knowledge of the market served.
- The ability to travel on average 30-40% of the time and work 100% remote from a home office anywhere in the US. A valid driver's license is required.

nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of total target cash pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Total target cash is comprised of an employee’s base salary and sales incentive target opportunity, when annual sales goals are achieved.
