Position: VP of Drayage Sales (Remote)

Our client is currently one of the largest and most sophisticated intermodal trucking providers in the US. Along with their highly dedicated drayage specialists, they are committed to providing their customers with 100% satisfaction both on On-Time delivery and customer communication. At our client’s company, they specialize in the transportation of Import and Export Ocean Containers (FCL) out of all the US ports with a very strong presence in the Port of NY and NJ region.

They have interchange agreements with all the Steamship Lines and port with capabilities to deliver anywhere in the US.

VP of Drayage Sales (Remote)

The VP of Drayage Sales will be responsible for cultivating new business through a variety of prospecting methods including email initiatives, attending networking events and cold calling. This person will focus on developing new client relationships in order to drive company growth.

Job Type: Full-time/ Work from home

Responsibilities
  • Generate new business leads.
  • Initiate new business opportunities with large importers on a nationwide scale.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of clients’ business needs to identify additional opportunities.
  • Effectively communicate customized freight solutions to gain new business.
  • Display a friendly demeanor with clients to build strong relationships.
  • Maintain relationships with clients through consistent communication.
  • Network with clients at conferences, in-person outings, meetings, and calls.
  • Remain up to date on industry news and trends to ensure clients have the optimal business strategies in place.
Experience
  • 3+ years of Sales experience in an International Freight Forwarding, Steamship Lines, or Drayage Carriers background.
  • Established relationships within the industry are highly preferred.
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time.
  • Proven track record of gaining, growing, and maintaining a high volume of client relationships.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate personality traits that promote relatability, sociability, and hospitality.

This position offers a competitive base salary.
