Account Executive (AE) Role

The Account Executive role is considered a business‑critical position. You will drive new business acquisition and top‑line revenue growth. The sales team is highly target‑oriented, tasked with meeting monthly and quarterly booking and invoice objectives while strategically driving growth in areas dictated by business needs.

In this role you will work with a Head of New Business, a Business Development Rep (BDR), and a Solutions Architect (SA). You will be primarily responsible for winning business in net new accounts, progressing Sales Qualified Leads from the BDR through the sales cycle to closure, and creating opportunities through outbound campaigns focused on strategic targets. You will understand customer business goals and needs, offering Zyte products that are the best fit, and work closely with the Demand Generation team to provide feedback on lead quality and lead‑to‑deal conversion.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Possess significant experience in outbound sales (e.g., e‑commerce, marketing companies, financial institutions).
  • Generate appointments via email, phone, social media, and networking to qualify and market Zyte solutions to potential customers.
  • Proactively contact strategically important prospects to create opportunities and win business.
  • Use strong selling and influencing skills to gain customer commitment and close deals.
  • Provide prompt phone/email follow‑up to all SQLs and properly document and track results.
  • Qualify customers with detailed questioning and score them internally on likelihood to become a customer.
  • Effectively forecast your new business pipeline using Zyte’s Sales Methodology – MEDDPICC.
  • Log, track, and maintain customer contact records, updating the CRM system to a very high standard.
  • Physically attend customer meetings and conferences where required.
Requirements
  • 3+ years in an outbound sales role.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales quotas.
  • Energy, enthusiasm, and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and demanding targets.
  • Strong deal closing and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • High level of analytical and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on Account‑Based Marketing (ABM) initiatives.
  • Understanding of data harvesting / web crawling is a plus but not required.
  • Previous experience in a SaaS/PaaS account management or sales position, specifically selling to Enterprise accounts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Creativity, initiative, and commercial awareness.
  • Demonstrated experience using sales analytics and funnel management techniques to drive productivity and give visibility of the pipeline to senior management for forecasting and business planning.
