Location: Sweden or Denmark – remote. Frequent travel to customers and the Cooper Vision office based in Gothenburg

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

Job Summary

The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for managing and developing strategic relationships with key accounts across the country/region.

This role focuses on driving sales growth, ensuring customer satisfaction, and aligning account strategies with Cooper Vision’s business objectives.

Essential Functions & Accountabilities
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for key customers in the country/region.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Identify growth opportunities and drive sales performance across assigned accounts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (CBT) to deliver tailored solutions and services.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements in alignment with company policies and frameworks.
  • Monitor market trends, customer insights and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting and reporting of account performance.
  • Represent Cooper Vision at industry events and customer meetings.
Travel Requirements

Frequent travel across the market. Occasional international travel - 10-15%

  • Strategic thinking and commercial acumen.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage complex accounts and influence stakeholders.
  • Data to Insights into Action:
    Uses analytical skills to take data, information & knowledge to form powerful insights that are used to identify and realise joint value creation.
  • Category & Thought Leadership: applies category development principles in proposals to create category growth and thought leadership initiatives with customers.
  • Customer Planning & Execution: develops & executes with excellence joint business plans that leverage CVI and customer assets to deliver joint value for both parties.
  • Business Ownership & Stewardship:
    Takes commercial decisions as though it is your own business, leveraging CBT in line with company stewardship guidelines and business objectives.
  • Partnership, Selling & Negotiation: creates indispensable partnerships working collaboratively to create joint value by leveraging robust sales & negotiation skills.
  • Ecommerce & Omnichannel: understands future digital landscape, builds ecom expertise and applies knowledge to create joint value across the omnichannel and pureplay customers.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Work Environment
  • This is a field-based role requiring frequent travel across the market. Occasional international travel and participation in strategic meetings may be required.
Experience and Education
  • 5+ years of experience in key account management or strategic sales, preferably in the medical device, optical, or FMCG sectors.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
