Job Summary

This role is for the Yacht Specialty group of our High‑Net‑Worth Personal Lines business. As a member of the NFP Yacht Specialty Team, you will work on accounts of all sizes, including large, complex accounts with large premiums and multifaceted marine coverages. You will prepare applications, specifications, and marketing strategies for new business and manage renewals under supervision. You will manage a book of business, act as a consultant and the primary point of contact for clients, and interact directly with clients and colleagues to develop and maintain relationships.

The role is full‑time in our Palm Beach Gardens, FL office on a hybrid work schedule. We will consider a remote option for highly qualified candidates (with yacht insurance experience) who can occasionally visit the FL office and attend client or industry events. You must have expertise in the Yacht niche of High‑Net‑Worth Personal Lines coverage, be able to work on an Eastern Time Zone schedule and report to the office or events as required.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Assess risks, negotiate terms, conditions, coverage limits, and pricing with carriers.
  • Deliver and review new and renewal policies for accuracy with clients.
  • Manage an existing portfolio of business with the objective of expanding the client base.
  • Actively engage in developing new relationships and nurturing existing ones within the NFP network and externally.
  • Set up new clients in Epic, document and manage material changes in risk for both new and existing clients, and maintain a diary to ensure receipt of policies, endorsements, and other necessary information.
  • Establish and sustain strong relationships with carriers and clients through regular communication.
  • Contribute to the growth of the division by being a reliable, active, and trusted member of the yacht practice.
Knowledge, Skills, And/or Abilities
  • Knowledge of yacht insurance terminology, policy wording, terms, and conditions.
  • Familiar with yacht insurance market guidelines and placement criteria.
  • Proficient with general Epic management processes.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills – writes clearly, edits for spelling and grammar, adapts writing style as needed, presents numeric data effectively, and interprets information.
  • Proficient in Excel and basic computer applications.
Education And/or Experience
  • BA/BS preferred; HS Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Typically, more than 3 years of industry and product‑line experience, ideally covering a yacht‑specific BOB.
  • Experience with EPIC or similar agency management systems preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registration
  • 220‑Property & Casualty Broker's License required upon hire.

The base salary range for this position is $80,000 – $100,000.

The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance‑based incentives.
