BusinessDevelopment Sales Rep
The Business Development Sales Rep willseekand identifysales leads and pitch services to new clients within Wavepoint’s transportation environment(Assets, FTL, LTL). This person will build key client relationships, identify business opportunities, negotiate, and close business deals while maintaining knowledge of current market conditions.
Essential Functions:- Build a profitable book of business by generating and developing new business opportunities
- Negotiate, build,and maintain long-term partnerships with both new and existing clients
- Generate leads by cold calling potential clients, understanding client needs, and identifying sales opportunities
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all of Wavpointsproducts and services, as well as those of our competitors
- Close new business and meet monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets
- Make timelyand professional decisions while maintainingservice standards and profitability
- Communicate promptly and efficiently, providing clear, concise,and consistent status updates, with external clients as well as internal support teams
- Proven experience in
lead generation
and
inside sales
, preferably in the
transportation and warehousing industry
. - Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage and persuade prospects.
- Self-motivated, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a remote environment.
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Hub Spot) and lead generation tools.
- Ability to work independently and meet sales goals in a fully remote setup.
