We are looking for 2-3 current college/graduate students and/or recent college graduates that can join our College to Sales Pipeline experience as Account Representatives. These employees are the lifeblood of our company, focusing on canvasing the marketplace and uncovering new clients. The ultimate goal of our account representatives is to set up meetings with prospective advertisers to educate them and consider spending across our publisher, creator and premium event partners.
This requires focused and clear crafting of outreach emails, consistent and dedicated follow up practices, and leveraging learnings about what works along the way.
This College to Sales Pipeline program will provide Account Representatives with hands-on training and real life experience that they can continue to leverage throughout their career in media, sales, publishing, or any other career path. Because of where our company leadership is based, we are looking for employees in the Chicago + San Diego areas. As a part of this College to Sales Pipeline class, you can expect:
- 20-25 hours per week; depending on your schedule, we can be flexible and are also open to discussions about increasing or decreasing
- Weekly training sessions, where our internal experts share the skills required to succeed in the role. These skills include:
- Overall media buying process (outreach, to pitch, to RFP, to proposal, to nurture, to buy, to activation)
- Key clients + agency contacts
- How to build compelling outreach
- How to build compelling presentations
- An understanding of our key client’s value proposition + product offerings
- How to give compelling pitches
- The ability to work remotely and design your own schedule. We are a 100% remote team, so as long as you have a quiet place to work, you can work from wherever you want! The one caveat to this is that we will also have at minimum a monthly face to face meeting with company leadership, to make sure you feel a part of the team and building relationships with the rest of the team.
This is why we will require being based in either Chicago or San Diego. In terms of your schedule, there is also flexibility in how you schedule your hours, as long as you are delivering them + the expected results. The one caveat here is that clients schedules’ often take precedence, so there may be times we request availability to accommodate a client’s schedule. - Develop your own book of business. You will be assigned specific categories and accounts to prospect, build relationships, and ultimately sell programs to. Throughout your time in this program, you will be able to develop relationships with key decision makers across clients and agencies which will be critical to maintain and nurture as they will be clients you will continue to work with throughout your career.
