Area Sales Representative
- Dallas/Ft. Worth, Austin, San Antonio or Houston Area

Reporting to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing or the Regional Sales Manager, the Area Sales Representative is responsible for identifying, developing, and closing sales within an assigned territory. They will work with the Vice President of Sales/regional managers/sales department to develop, implement, and manage a strategic business and sales plan. Similarly, he/she develops and implements sales and marketing ideas to increase awareness and demand for products.

He/She keeps records of customer information and tracks the performance of goals and objectives. Additionally, he/she attends to customer service issues to preserve customers’ satisfaction and retention. Moreover, he/she identifies new end-user opportunities through prospecting to attain the company goals of pipeline development.

Major areas of responsibility also include but are not limited to:

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Work in conjunction with our Manufacturer’s Representatives to drive growth and expand market share
  • Travel within the assigned territory approximately 25-50% of the time seeing new and existing customers or otherwise acting as FAMCO’s representative where appropriate at customer or industry events
  • Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers
  • Demonstrated success in creating demand with end-users and pulling sales through distribution channels
  • Act as the primary contact for any and all House Accounts found with the defined area
  • Identify sales leads and collect pertinent information from clients
  • Inform clients about our products or services and provide demonstrations
  • Cultivate relationships with existing clients to secure their future business
  • Continually monitor and track sales performance
  • Utilize customer service and negotiation skills to close deals
  • Reach out to customer leads through cold calling
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
  • Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Continuously update a sales pipeline with customer contacts, opportunities, accomplishments, and next steps
  • Prudent management of all travel related expenses including weekly and monthly reports
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
  • Continuously improve through feedback
Qualifications:
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Located in Dallas/Ft. Worth, Austin, San Antonio or Houston.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred
  • 2+ years of progressive sales experience
  • Experience in HVAC or adjacent industries with a focus on contractors and installers preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
  • Excellent selling, negotiation and communication skills
