Technical Sales Representative – Industrial Power Transmission & Conveyance Components
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – Home office, client sites, and periodic in-office collaboration

The OpportunityWe are seeking a performance-driven Sales Professional to grow territory revenue through strategic account acquisition, relationship development and solution-based selling. The territory is specifically The Western Canadian Provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan as well as Manitoba and Yukon.
This is a growth-focused role. The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Drive new customer acquisition
- Expand sales within the assigned territory
- Introduce new product lines into existing accounts
- Build long-term relationships across distributors, OEMs, and end users
The ideal candidate brings an active customer network and the ability to create immediate traction while contributing to a positive team environment.
What You’ll Do- Prospect and acquire new distributor, OEM, and industrial end-user accounts
- Identify opportunities to introduce PTM’s product portfolio
- Grow and manage territory revenue
- Work closely with PTM’s technical sales, customer service, and operations teams
- Meet defined revenue and performance targets
The ideal candidate is an intermediate level sales professional who understands the power transmission or mechanical components market and is ready to grow a territory with a supportive national platform behind them.
- Have proven sales experience in power transmission, conveyance, bearings, gearboxes, or related industrial components / sectors.
- Maintain active relationships with distributors, OEMs, and/or industrial end users
- Have several years of field sales experience within industrial distribution / manufacturing or related sectors
- Demonstrate the ability to win new business and grow accounts
- Are comfortable prospecting and opening new accounts
- Possess strong communication, technical, and relationship management skills
- Take ownership of your territory and operate independently
- Value collaboration and work well within a team-oriented environment
- Have a technical or mechanical educational / experience background
- Base salary commensurate with experience (targeted for mid-career industrial sales professionals)
