The Work

The Business Development Manager will lead Lexipol’s efforts to sell website development, custom content, and publication services nationwide. Reporting to the Vice President, Head of Grants, this leader develops sales strategies, manages sales operations, and ensures the achievement of revenue goals. The role requires building strong relationships with current clients and understanding their audience’s needs. This is a quota‑carrying role with opportunity to move into a pure sales‑management position.

The position is remote with occasional travel to corporate headquarters in Frisco, TX.

Objectives and Responsibilities Objective #1:
Association Sales Strategy & Coordination (50%)
  • Execute sales strategies targeting member organizations for website development, custom content, and publication services
  • Develop pipeline opportunities and manage selling procedures.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly sales goals.
  • Negotiate pricing, handle inquiries, and maintain relationships with existing clients.
  • Generate revenue through digital solutions and grow existing accounts.
  • Maintain detailed records, perform daily research, and stay informed about market trends.
  • Meet revenue targets as established by LMG leadership.
Objective #2:
Sales Operations Management (30%)
  • Set price negotiation parameters for offerings.
  • Ensure accurate documentation in CRM for all sales activities.
  • Manage daily call volume and provide guidance on closing deals.
  • Monitor last‑minute deals and coordinate with production and web development teams.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with leadership and CSM support team to review goals, hot prospects, updates, and training.
Objective #3:
Leadership and Coaching (20%)
  • Meet regularly with sales account executives to share best practices on website development, custom content, and publication services nationwide sales.
  • Coach and counsel SAEs to improve performance in the market.
  • Provide ongoing support for website development, custom content, and publication services sales.
Requirements
  • Proven ability to build relationships with leaders and decision‑makers.
  • Strong sales skills in website development, custom content, and publication services nationwide.
  • Experience in sales strategy, team management, and client engagement.
  • Proficiency in CRM and sales database management.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience selling website development, custom content, and publication services.
  • Experience with public safety, government, or nonprofit sectors.
Target Outcomes / Results
  • Achieve monthly sales quotas for Association website development and digital/print publication services.
  • Maintain high client satisfaction and retention rates among Associations.
  • Grow existing Association accounts and acquire new Association clients.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all sales activities.
