Established for over 10 years, we are a prominent media organisation within the UK travel sector and are looking for a smart, hard-working and target-driven Business Development Executive candidate to join our award-winning business. We value the happiness of our team above most things, and we let everyone work fully remotely, just note that you do need to be resident in the UK for tax purposes for this role.
Reporting to the Team Lead:
Sales and Key Account Management, you’ll sell Holiday Pirates’ suite of media products as well as evangelise our business to potential partners in the travel & tourism sector. Alongside this, you will have the ability to manage ongoing partner relationships, always be on the lookout for upsell and account growth opportunities, maintain your own CRM, work cross-functionally as required with other internal stakeholders and work alongside key decision-makers within the UK business to play a key role in growing Holiday Pirates in the UK.
ON DECK
- Lead sourcing:
Be able to scour the UK Travel Industry independently to look for new business targets - Maintain accurate CRM records and sales pipeline
- Be familiar with the activities of Holiday Pirates competitors within the UK travel industry and be able to communicate the USP’s of Holiday Pirates against any competitor
- Pitch Holiday Pirates products to target partners to acquire new business revenue
- Develop relationships with partners to aid business retention and capitalise on upsell opportunities to facilitate account growth
- Attend external meetings with prospective, new and existing partners, either in person or via video-conferencing
- Produce regular advertising performance reports and be able to present these reports to external partners
- Attend relevant trade fairs and exhibitions
- Be able to work closely and cross-functionally with internal departments e.g. editorial team, marketing department, finance department
- Target-driven individual
- Minimum 2+ years sales experience within the UK travel & tourism sector or a related sector
- A networker with excellent people and communication skills
- Analytical skills, specifically the ability to interpret performance data from an advertising campaign and explain its significance to a commercial partner
- Initiative and drive to be successful, combined with enterprise thinking
- Excellent organizational and presentation skills
- Computer literate with knowledge of Google Analytics preferred
- Willingness to travel overseas, when required
- Contacts within the UK Travel Industry
- Media sales experience a clear advantage, including experience of selling different commercial models (Fixed, CPC, CPA, Revenue share).
- Experience with in a flash sales focused or similar media organisation
- Knowledge of social media, particularly Meta and Tik Tok;
