Senior Sales Manager, Software – UL Solutions
We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead the Software & Advisory sales team in a 100% remote capacity across the United States.
Responsibilities- Achieve top‑line Software & Advisory booking targets within the assigned territory or business.
- Accountable for the performance and results of the team, potentially across multiple disciplines or locations.
- Manage direct reports by setting clear accountabilities, establishing performance objectives, providing career counseling, feedback, and guidance, and ensuring compliance with all policies.
- Develop and manage sales transaction pipelines and forecasting, holding sales staff accountable for meeting assigned targets.
- Coach sales staff to ensure effective use of pipeline and forecasting information.
- Set and meet specific quarterly or annual sales goals; establish processes and systems to monitor and report progress to the leadership team.
- Utilize customer, industry, and internal sales data to drive performance and maintain a competitive edge.
- Direct the development and execution of client engagement plans that outline business goals and strategies to deliver customer solutions.
- Drive the sale of high‑margin solutions within the account base.
- Plan and coordinate the implementation of business plans and the penetration of new markets and customer segments in collaboration with business leaders.
- Focus on customer satisfaction, account growth, and expanding Software & Advisory services, ensuring customer loyalty among new and key clients.
- Execute go‑to‑market strategies in alignment with commercial organization design principles.
- Collaborate with Business Leaders on account and sales coverage options to achieve Software & Advisory growth objectives, and with the marketing organization on portfolio strategy.
- Lead client engagement by developing and managing relationships with middle and senior management, as well as key decision makers at large and medium‑sized customers.
- Adhere to the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and all physical and digital security practices.
- University degree (equivalent to Bachelor’s degree) in a related discipline.
- 10+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated competence.
- 5+ years of software sales management/leadership experience or demonstrated competency.
- Knowledge and hands‑on sales experience in EHS, Sustainability, or Compliance software is preferred.
- Ability to gain cooperation from others and deliver technical presentations to senior management and customers.
- Expertise in sales strategies and tactics.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work outside the office as required.

- Estimated annual compensation: base salary $160,000 – $205,000 + 100% on target performance. Eligible for UL Solutions Sales Incentive Plan with commission paid quarterly.
