Job Description

This is a remote position.

The Business Development Manager will play a critical role in driving revenue growth and optimizing sales strategies for NxGen MDx's genetic and pathogen testing services. This position focuses on face-to-face engagement with women's health providers, primary care doctors, and independent hospitals to build strong client relationships, identify growth opportunities, and implement strategic initiatives to maximize profitability. The ideal candidate will excel in fostering trust, driving revenue through direct client interactions, and delivering impactful healthcare solutions.

  • Drive growth of NxGen MDx's genetic and pathogen testing services through proactive account acquisition and expansion.
  • Optimize revenue by managing Average Sales Price (ASP) and increasing test volume while balancing profitability.
  • Communicate complex testing solutions from both technical and non-technical perspectives to women's health providers, primary care doctors, and independent hospital staff.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date prospect and client information in the sales database daily.
  • Conduct regular in-person visits to women's health clinics, primary care offices, and independent hospitals to build and strengthen client relationships.
  • Build and nurture relationships with healthcare professionals, administrators, and decision-makers in targeted healthcare settings.
  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations, addressing competitive positioning, pricing strategies, and bundling opportunities.
  • Secure signed agreements and ensure seamless onboarding of new clients.
  • Consistently meet and exceed sales targets and quotas set by sales leadership.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between clients and internal departments, including sales, customer service, laboratory operations, and finance.
  • Provide actionable market intelligence by gathering and analyzing data from the field.
  • Actively participate in sales meetings, strategy sessions, and respond promptly to internal communication.
  • Attend industry conferences, networking events, and local meetings to generate high-quality leads.
  • Stay informed on competitor activities, emerging market trends, and advancements in genetic screening technologies.
  • Collaborate with finance and operations teams to ensure quick turnaround payments and efficient revenue cycle management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in healthcare sales, preferably in genetic or diagnostic testing.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas.
  • Strong understanding of revenue cycle management and sales pipeline optimization.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
  • Ability to travel regularly within the assigned territory.
