Position SummaryThe Business Development Specialist (BDS) is responsible for driving growth by identifying, qualifying, and helping onboard new dental practice members to both our GPO and Coaching services. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, results-oriented professional with exceptional communication and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities Smile Source Membership Growth- Prospect and network with prospective members as well as follow up with early stage marketing generated leads to qualify and prioritize the best sales opportunities.
- Partner with the Account Executive Team to conduct compelling virtual and in-person presentations demonstrating potential savings analysis and membership benefits.
- Maintain expert knowledge of GPO vendor contracts, pricing structures, and competitive landscape.
- Serve as the point person for sales outreach to uncover and accelerate sales leads into opportunities for the sales executive team
- Support engagement with clients to support renewal & upsell opportunities
- Your primary objective is to support and nurture leads.
- This encompasses calling, emailing, texting, and reporting outcomes.
- You will serve as the first point of contact, sparking interest, identifying potential clients, and transitioning warm leads to our business development representative.
- Working in unison with our business development team. Meeting weekly at minimum.

- Converting our marketing-qualified leads to sales-qualified leads.
- Demonstrated success in remote work or academic environments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities and client interactions in the CRM
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel locally and regionally occasionally
- Direct experience working with or selling to independent dental practices.
- Familiarity with dental supply chain and procurement processes.
- Cold calling experience is a bonus.
- Consultative Selling: Ability to listen to client needs and position solutions effectively.
- Initiative & Drive: Self-starter with a proactive approach to pipeline development
