Job Description
Position TitleRegional Sales Manager
As a Regional Sales Manager (RSM), you'll play a critical role in shaping our growth in the Americas by turning opportunities into long-term partnerships and enabling innovation through our leading wireless and positioning technologies. You will be responsible for developing and expanding the market position of u-blox and achieve growth across the entire u-blox portfolio. You will report to the Head of Sales – Americas.
Your role will be focused on growing our sales funnel across a variety of segments. You will collaborate closely with manufacturer reps, distributors, and business units to develop and execute a business plan to grow your region and meet sales targets. You will work alongside a Field Application Engineer who will provide regional technical support. This role is remote. You must reside in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area.
Responsibilities
- Grow the u-blox customer base within your region
- Build relationships with key customers within your region and have a deep understanding of their business and needs
- Manage Manufacturers reps within a specified region. Training, setting targets, hosting regular business reviews, and enabling reps to identify new business and secure design wins
- Work closely with Regional Distribution branches – training, account calls, corporate initiatives.
- Define and execute sales strategy within your region for each Business Unit.
- Meeting quarterly sales target and design win targets
- Forecasting top customers within your region
- Responsible for setting and meeting strategic objectives in region
- Prepare and conduct presentations for internal QBRs, sales meetings, and other strategic meetings that arise throughout the year.
- Work with Channel Partners to find new design-in opportunities in the region
- Assist with Channel Partners to increase the u-blox customer base in the region
- Ownership of the full sales cycle, including cold-calling, lead follow-up, design-win, closing opportunities, getting purchase orders
- Manage customer supply chain alongside sales operations, including global CMs, ODMs, distributors
- Collaborate with colleagues across regions on global industrial and consumer accounts
- Effectively manage potential business conflicts across channels, partners
- Attend global customer meetings, sales meetings, seminars, trade shows as needed
- Work effectively with local Field Application Engineer to develop relationships with key technical stakeholders
- At least 3 years of semiconductor business development or sales experience
- Experience with GPS/GNSS and Wi-Fi/Bluetooth technology preferred
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to plan and execute in the short term and long term
- Frequent domestic and periodic international travel (up to 50%)
- Track record in revenue growth and design wins
- Works collaboratively with a team to achieve results in a team environment
- Electrical or Computer Engineering Degree, MBA
- Role in a rapid growth division of the u-blox sales organization
